Danette Rhchel (Smith) Bock, 60, passed away after a battle with cancer with family by her side on April 11, 2025 at her home.
She was born on June 18, 1964 in Alton to Donna (Heuer) Smith of Alton and the late Gerold Smith. She married Timothy N. Bock Sr. on November 14, 2015. He survives.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her son, Jason Smith and Julie Strader of Godfrey, and a daughter, Jamie Moore of Alton, 12 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her sister, Dawn Gray (Geoff), two brothers, Dion Smith (Sandra) of Toms River, NJ, and Dana Smith (Tammy) of Alton, her father and mother-in-law, James and Diane Bock of Godfrey, brothers and sisters-in-law, James Jr. and Kay Bock of Alton, Dale and Diana Whitaker of Godfrey, Tom and Natalie Bock of Godfrey, John and Stephanie Bock of San Antonio, TX, Gary and Debbie Cox of Alton, and two step-sons, Timothy and Courtney of Alton and Michael Bock of Wood River.
Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Earl and Neda Heuer, brother in law, Randy Gray, nephews, Josh Gray and Brendon Riggins and sister-in-law, Julie Bock.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Captain Greg Bock of the Salvation Army will officiate.
