She is survived by her six children: Jack and Debbie (Roth) Hoefert; Jim and Nancy (Wickenhauser) Hoefert; Joe and Jeanne (Roberts) Hoefert; Matt and Sarah Beth (Barton) Hoefert; Anne and Bill Roe; and Mary and Mark Cousley; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 more great-grandchildren on the way; her brother, Jim Kesl; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, preceding her in death were her husband of 53 years, John Hoefert; brother Lennie; brothers-in-law, Harold Hoefert, Mike Mitchell; sisters-in-law, Marge Kesl, Gerry Mitchell, and Sally Hoefert.

A mass will be conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Alton, IL, on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to: St. Mary’s Church-Alton, IL; St. Ambrose School-Godfrey, IL; and Mount Grace Convent of the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters (Pink Sisters)-St. Louis, MO.
