Billy (Bill) Mac Tomlin passed away on May 10, 2025, at the age of 82.
He was born in Prescott, Arkansas on August 20, 1942 and graduated from Fairview High School in Camden, AR in 1960. He attended Monticello College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Forestry. He had a long, successful career at Jefferson Smurfit (formerly Alton Box Board).
Bill is survived by his wife Susan (Simpson), who he married in 1966; his children Cynthia (Scott) McKillip, David Christopher (Charity) Tomlin, and Benjamin Tomlin. He was proceeded in death by his sisters; Betty Hunter and Joyce Jones. He is survived by his brother, Richard (Ricky) Tomlin.
He was fortunate to have five grandchildren whom he adored; Isaac, Claire, Andrew, Colleen, and Grace. He thoroughly enjoyed watching them on the sports fields and in school.
Bill enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing softball and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He was an active member in his church.
Bill will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held in June (details pending).
Cremation rites have been accorded. Elias, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Homes are entrusted with the professional arrangements.
