Vickie Leah Turner, 76, passed away at La Bella of Alton on Saturday, May 17, 2025, in Alton, IL.
She was born on January 16, 1949, in East Alton, IL, to Arthur and Beulah (Buchanan) Henderson.
Vickie married William "Larry" Turner Sr. on July 30, 1966 in East St. Louis, IL.
She had a deep love for her dog, “Winnie,” and enjoyed watching The Waltons, Gunsmoke, I Love Lucy, and various cooking shows. She was a devoted believer of the Church of Christ.
Vickie is survived by her husband, William "Larry" Turner Sr.; her children, Shawn Turner of Bethalto, IL, Gioia "JoJo" (Bill) Striegel of Godfrey, IL, Billy (Cindy) Turner of Godfrey, IL, and Dina Turner of Godfrey, IL; 16 grandchildren, Dannielle, Seth, Kassie, Dash, Aden, Adi, Aleena, Larry, Zachary, Leah, Zane, Shelby, Brennan, Sadie Anne, Charles, and Jacob; and 16 great-grandchildren, Lua, Scout, Archie, Kolton, Ella, Walker, Quinn, Olivia, Harper, Sophia, Tristan, Laney, Cora Jo, Esme, and one on the way, Lucia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Starla Turner; a great-granddaughter, Noelle Lynn Bowles; her sisters, Arlene Murray, Nadine East, and Betsy Markel-Lacey; and her brother, Gary Henderson.
A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton, IL.
