Paul “Sonny” Bryant, 85, passed away at 3:39 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Addington Place in Edwardsville. He was born on May 17, 1940, in Alton, the son of the late Carl and Mable (Haller) Bryant.He loved his family which included his two daughters and a son in law, Diane & Mike Thomas of Hartford, and Leigh Anne Mathis of Tacoma, Washington. He also has seven grandchildren; Kendall, Jacob, Ryan, Alex, Logan, Alex, and Abby. He was also blessed with 8 great grandchildren; Avery, Sophia, Nash, Jackson, Ophelia, Clayton, Ellis, and Oliver. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Leslie Fincher of Hartford, his companion: Betty Fernandes of Bethalto, a brother in law Ron Pryor of Oklahoma, along with nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.Sonny was formerly employed as a sales and account manager at Tasty Bread and later at Colonial Bread. He was a member of the Wood River Moose Lodge #1349. He enjoyed playing fast pitch softball, bowling, and golf. Sonny never met a stranger, and loved being around his friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Toni Pryor.Sonny wish was to be buried along side his grandparents, Titus and Dora Haller at Wanda Cemetery.The family would like to thank the past and present staff at Addington Place for their wonderful care, and extend a special thanks to Carla Eilers for always being there to support and assist in any way.
