Phyllis Marie Vahle, 98, died at 11:43 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Jerseyville Manor in Jerseyville.
Born February 4, 1927 in Jerseyville, she was the daughter of Rufus C. and Verna M. (McDade) Baker.
Surviving is a daughter, Patricia Shaw (Jim) of Jerseyville, two sons, Dennis Vahle (Tammy Taul) of Fosterburg, and Darryl Kaiser of Godfrey, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and two sisters, Barbara Howland of Carrollton and Wanda Hall of Carrollton.
Along with her parents, she was preceded by a daughter, Linda M. Vahle, one brother, Clayton Baker, and three sisters, Eileen Hardwick, Esther Burger, and Evelyn Hardwick.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12:00 noon Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
Burial will be at Noble Cemetery in Otterville.
