Amy E. Garner, 39, passed away at 3:59am on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Blu Fountain Manor Nursing Home in Godfrey. She was born on July 18, 1972, in Alton, Illinois the daughter of Harold and Roberta (Smith) O'Daniell. Survivors include her mother and step - father: Roberta and Sam Rhea of Wood River, one daughter: Samantha O'Daniell of Wood River, one sister: Susan King of Alton, two brothers and sisters in law: Lee and Mia O'Daniell of St. Charles, Missouri, Kerry and Joy O'Daniell of East Alton, and her fiance': Chris Retzer of Alton.
She was formerly employed at Northland Orthopedics and then at Orthopedic Sports Medicine in Alton in medical records. She was the Jr. Vice President of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Wood River VFW Post 2859 where she helped with the kids Christmas and Easter parties. She was an avid Cardinal fan and loved Nascar. She was an avid gardener.
She was preceded in death by her father.
In celebration of her life, memorial visitation will be from 4pm to until time of reflection at 7pm on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Pastor Kimberly Allen will officiate.
