James “Junior” Lee Johnson, 57, passed away at 3:11 am Saturday April 21, 2012 at Des Peres Hospital in Des Peres, MO.
He was born on July 6, 1954 in St. Louis, MO the son of James & Ernestine (Roby) Johnson.
He married Sandra Caffey Johnson on April 17, 2010 at 12th Street Presbyterian Church in Alton with Rev. David Olson officiating. She survives.
He attended 12th Street Presbyterian Church in Alton and was self-employed in lawn service.
In addition to his wife, Sandra Caffey Johnson of Alton, He is also survived by a step-daughter, Libby Caffey of Alton, two sisters, Jean of St. Louis, MO and Francine of Milwaukee, WI, father-in-law, Bennie Caffey of Alton, grandmother-in-law, Pearl Caffey of Alton and Godmother, Mary Ann Moses and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 1 pm until 3 pm Thursday April 23, 2012 at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton.
Cremation rites will follow.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
