Alan S. Thuenemann, age 68 of Highland, IL, died Thursday, May 15, 2025, while working at St. Charles County Correctional Facility in Saint Charles, MO.
He was born on Saturday, March 30, 1957, in Highland, IL, the son of Vincent and Pauline (nee Frohn) Thuenemann.
On Saturday, September 2, 1978, he married Lori Lea Thuenemann (nee Stufflebeam) at Highland Community Church, who survives.
Alan was born in Highland, and graduated St. Paul High School in 1975. He went on to work at Basler Electric, then Corsair Controls, Inc. in Highland. In 1997, he purchased Corsair Controls, Inc. He was a devoted member of the Highland Community Church and served as their Treasurer.
Alan loved to shoot handguns and long guns, and he liked to collect coins. He enjoyed working on his lawn and believed every new project deserved a new tool. Alan enjoyed traveling and having his family gathered all together. More than anything, Alan loved playing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by:

Arrangements are being handled by Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, IL.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Highland Community Church in Highland, IL and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Highland Community Church in Highland, IL.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 26, 2025, at Highland Community Church in Highland, IL, with Pastor Mark McGranahan, officiating.
Private interment will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland Community Church or to the Family (c/o Lori Thuenemann).
