Christine Deanne Sumner, age 72 of Normal, IL, died Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at her residence in Normal, IL.
She was born on Sunday, November 16, 1952, in Litchfield, IL, the daughter of Alfred and Joan (nee Olmsted) Culp.
Christine was born in Litchfield, IL, and grew up in the Gillespie area. She graduated from Staunton High School and later settled in Bloomington, where she worked for State Farm. In 2006, she moved to Highland and continued her career at the State Farm office in Collinsville.
Christine was deeply devoted to her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them. She loved collecting crystals and took great pride in the beautiful displays she created throughout her home. Known for her love of decorating, she often added unique touches — including her signature tassels — to every room.
An avid thrift store shopper, Christine delighted in hunting for hidden treasures and Starbucks mugs to add to her collection. She was a longtime member of Mosaic Church, where she found joy and connection in her close-knit Bible study group.
Christine also adored her beloved cat, Luna, who brought her comfort and companionship.
