Dr. Daniel Jeremy Ufert, 44, formerly of Wood River, passed away 1:24 a.m., Sunday, May 22, 2016.
Born in Alton on November 21, 1971, he was the son of Patricia (Stone) Frazier of Bridgeton, MO and the late Daniel Ufert.
He had been a Wound Care Physician for the past 16 years. He loved and healed so many. His family and all those who came in contact with him, even in the smallest way, have lost a truly amazing man, husband, son, father and friend.
He married Lori Fulk on April 12, 2003 in St. Louis. She survives.
In addition to his mother and wife, surviving are step-father, Jerry Frazier; two sons, Ian and Evan Ufert; two brothers, Jeffrey (Debbie) Ufert, Darin (Tami) Ufert; brother-in-law, Brad (Teri) Fulk; uncles, Mike Ufert and Jim Stone; in-laws, Richard and Needra Fulk; and ten nieces and nephews.
His father and uncle, Robert J. Garner preceded in death.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will begin at 12 p.m. Friday at The United Presbyterian Church, 2550 Rock Hill Rd, Wood River with a service at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Pam Laing will officiate.
Memorials may be made an education fund for his children or The United Presbyterian Church.
