Kathleen Lange, nee Prindable, 83, of Belleville, IL, born April 24, 1942, in Belleville, IL, died Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Dammert Geriatric Center, Belleville, IL.
Kathy was a much-loved nurse for 36 years before retiring from Mercy Hospital in Aurora, IL. Prior to her nursing career, she had worked in social services. Kathy received her sociology degree from SIU Edwardsville, her nursing degree from SWIC, and a law degree from Northern Illinois School of Law.
Kathy lived life to the fullest and proclaimed life is good. She always stayed close to her Catholic faith and her large family of five brothers and four sisters and their families.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose K., nee Becker, Prindable; three brothers, Charles Prindable, John Prindable, and Jim Prindable; a sister, Rose Hall; four brothers-in-law, John Schmidt, Nick Lang, Dick Hall, and Guy Givan; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Prindable.
Kathy is survived by her brothers, Tom (Judy) Prindable and Patrick (Mary Pat) Prindable; three sisters, Phyllis Lang, Mary Schmidt, and Doris Givan; two sisters-in-law, Louise Prindable and Claire Prindable; 36 nieces and nephews who cherished the times they shared with their witty and kindhearted aunt; and cousins, Henry and Donna Siekmann; as well as many valued and true friends.
Our family extends special thanks to those who cared for Kathy at the Dammert Center at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows and Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at St Peter’s Cathedral Catholic Church, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at St. Peter’s Cathedral Catholic Church, Belleville, IL, with Msgr. James Buerster officiating.
A private family burial will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
