Mary Ann Steiner, age 84 of Mulberry Grove, passed away Thursday evening, August 20, 2026, at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Donnell - Wiegand Funeral Home in Greenville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in Maxey Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mulberry Grove First Church of Christ.
Mary Ann Steiner was born November 28, 1941, on the family farm in Bond County. Daughter to Henry Albert Steiner and Lois Belle Roach Steiner, Ann grew up in Mulberry Grove, attended the local schools, and graduated from Mulberry Grove High School.
Mary Ann worked as a seamstress at DeMoulin Brothers Factory in Greenville. She helped take care of her mother, Lois, and moved in with her. Mary Ann loved animals, there was not a cat or dog she did not want to adopt. She had a deep love for children, and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann was one of 5 Steiner children: Henry Louis Steiner and his wife Doris are the only surviving sibling. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Edward Steiner, sister Carol Bristow, and brother David Steiner.
