
Robert “Bob” Chouinard, 53, of Belleville, IL, born December 11, 1971, died Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Carle Hospital, Urbana, IL, surrounded by loved ones.
Bob, just like his dad, was a truck driver and worked for over two decades with Newsom Trucking, where he became known as the heart and soul of the company. Bob was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers. He loved country music and enjoyed taking his two nieces to see their favorite artists.
Bob was also a serious train enthusiast, an interest he loved sharing with his nieces and his great-nephew and great-niece as well. Bob will be remembered for his selfless devotion to family and the lives he touched with his kindness, humility, and love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Audrey, nee Florreich, Chouinard; two uncles, David Chouinard and Richard Florreich; and a great-nephew, Lucka Linder.
Surviving are his dear sister, Lisa Bingham of Rantoul, IL; two cherished nieces, Alyssa (Ethan) Linder of Paxton, IL, and Stacey Bingham of Rantoul, IL; a precious great-nephew and great-niece, Layton Linder and Jozie Linder; and many dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Monticello Railway Museum, Monticello, IL, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Funeral: A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Private burial will be in Paxton, IL.
