Richard "Rick" Mihalich, 72, passed away at Saturday, April 12, 2025 at his home in Hartford, IL.
Rick was born on February 6, 1953 in Alton, IL to Rudolph and Margaret Mihalich.
Rick owned and operated "Mo Heating and Cooling." He enjoyed playing darts. Rick liked to try new foods and activities. He enjoyed margaritas and loved his dogs. He was proud to have been a part of the undefeated Alton High School Football Team. Rick was of the Catholic faith.
Rick is survived by two children, Amanda Troxtell of Alton, IL,and Luke Mihalich of Hartford, IL; his siblings, Judy Clark, Mike and Candi Mihalich, Barbara and Jim Nolan, and Toni and Bob Bowman; two grandchildren, Mason Greer, and Alyssa and Seth Weshinskey; one great-granddaughter, Charlotte Weshinskey; and his newest puppy, Oliver.
Rick is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joseph Mihalich; a daughter, Lindsey Mihalich; and a dog, Lila.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, IL.
His ashes will be interred at Wanda Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Alyssa Weshinskey for his great-granddaugther Charlotte's benefit and care.
