It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Doran Chadwick Arnold, who left us on the morning of January 6, 2024. He was 58 years old. Chad, as he was fondly called by his friends and family was born November 9, 1965 to Carl Richmond and Patsy Mae Arnold of Godfrey. Chad worked in the construction field for many years. He was an avid lover of all animals, especially his cherished dog, Rufus. Surviving are his parents, Carl and Patsy Arnold of Godfrey, one brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Jill Arnold of Brighton, and one sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Rob Phelan of Rosewood Heights. Also surviving are three nephews, Michael Rathgeb of Alton, Jesse Arnold of Wood River, Kyle Phelan of Collinsville, and one niece, Lyndsie Mehelic of Edwardsville. Chad also had four great nieces and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Devon Renee Arnold. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Memorials may be made to the 5A’s Animal Shelter.
