
Rose Lee Yenne, 98, entered her eternal home on April 23, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born April 14, 1927 in Lawrence County, MO, she was the daughter of Harrison and Versa (Tunnell) Furlow.
Rose was a loving and devoted mother, kept on her toes by her sons' passion for cars and other hobbies. She loved the STL Cardinals and being outdoors, especially going camping. Her love extended across five generations, cherishing every moment with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A true friend to all, she was the cherished matriarch of the family, leading with love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God.
On September 28, 1945 in Columbus, KS, she married Paul Yenne who died on August 22, 1974. She later married Kenneth Ross on October 6, 1979 in Wood River. He died December 29, 1984.
Surviving are two sons, James Yenne and Joseph (Barbara) Yenne all of Wood River; daughter-in-law, Andrea Yenne of Wood River, Step-daughters, Patty Wontroba and Pamela Jacquin; Grandchildren, Chris (Trina) Yenne, Jason Yenne, Michelle Null, David Yenne, Brianna (Nathan) Kessler, Jordan Yenne, Gemma Yenne; 17 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; daughter Kathleen Yenne in infancy; son, Anthony "Tony" Yenne; Granddaughter, Sarah Yenne; three brothers, Loyal "Tweets" Furlow, Eugene "Gene" Furlow, Clovis "Tobe" Furlow; and four sisters, Jane Nash, Lorene Shive, Dorothea Battles, and Loretta "Mae" Yenne.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm, Wednesday, April 30 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where funeral service will conducted at 11 am, Thursday, May 1. Pastor Toby Curtright will officiate.
Burial will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church in Wood River where she had been a member for 75 years and the longest living member in history of the church.
