Ronald K. Wolff, 83, died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2025 at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Born November 7, 1941 in Alton, he was the son of Kenneth C. and Maude E. (Ahrens) Wolff. Ron served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Parkside Presbyterian Church. He loved fishing and deer hunting and was a member of the Piasa Black Powder Burners. He enjoyed traveling to Orr, MN every summer to fish for over 20 years. He retired from Lou Fusz Motors in St. Louis, MO as an assistant body shop manager.
On July 31, 1965 he married the former Deana Kay Van Voorhis. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Carla Skrabacz (Ron) of Godfrey and Aimee Blanco (Jim Corby) of Alton; his six grandchildren, Morgan Skrabacz, Jacob Skrabacz (Rebecca), Samantha Mier (Eric), Sabrina Blanco (fiancé, Nolan), Sophie Blanco (fiancé, Brian), and Savannah Brauer, five great grandchildren, Mercury, Nova, Raven, Rorri and Robin. He is also survived by a sister, Cheryl Lynn Rossfeld, a son-in-law, Caesar Blanco, as well as three sisters-in-law, Rebecca Heiens (Bill), Laura Lynn Stinson (Jeff), and Nancy Warner (Mark), two brothers-in-law, Jerry Van Voorhis (Kay), and George Van Voorhis (Mary Ellen) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Dean and Kathryn Van Voorhis and a sister, Sharon Wolff.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Pastor George Van Voorhis will officiate.
Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2025 at Van Voorhis Cemetery in Hindsboro, IL.
